World Health Day Observed at Sector 8C, Chandigarh

In collaboration with Doctor Z India Healthcare Pvt.Ltd., Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes, Chandigarh today observed “World Health Day” at Sector 8C Chandigarh. In synch with ‘Good health adds the years to life’ the theme of World Health Day. Ms. Jarnail Kaur, mother of Dr. Zora Singh were especially present.  Official members of Desh Bhagat Group and Doctor Z India Healthcare Pvt.Ltd. listened to the health problems of the elderly people and provided all help to them.

Reviving the age old tradition of India the grandparents were given special attention by spending time with them. Dr.Zora Singh, Chairman, Desh Bhagat Group said, “We must care for the elderly persons in the family. We can learn from their experience to lead a healthy life”.

“With the advancement in the medical technology, the life expectancy has increased. This has resulted into increase in the older population. The elderly persons in the society need good health and emotional support”, Mr.Tajinder Kaur said.

Mr.H.C Gera, Executive Officer, Doctor Z India Healthcare elaborated the theme of World health day for the year 2012 and said that a non communicable disease among the older people is going to affect their health. Doctor Z India Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. signs MOU with Education and Medical Company of Accra-Ghana (West Africa)

Doctor Z India Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Chandigarh (India) and Center for Education Technology and Partnerships for Accerelated Development (CETPAD) Accra-Ghana signed an MOU for promoting Medical Tourism in India and abroad. CETPAD has decided to extend cooperation for referring the patients for ensuring world class treatment to International patients in the hospitals in India associated with of Doctor Z India Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Zora Singh, Managing Director/ CEO on behalf of Doctor Z India and Mr. Osei Darkwa, Director CETPAD Ghana (West Africa).

The pact was signed between the parties meant for partnership to boost and strengthen the sector of Medical Tourism both in India and West Africa.

Doctor Z India has already gained reputation for being the only registered Medical Tourism Company in this region and is the most preferred destination for International Patients, NRI’s and foreign patients for treatment and procedures. Dr. Zora Singh Managing Director highlighted that “we are providing treatment to international patients through our wide network of hospitals across the country”. He also emphasized that “we shall further explore the potential in the field of medical tourism, as India has a huge potential to become a leading player in the Medical Tourism industry”. 

Dr. Singh further said that, “about 15,000 crores worth of annual revenue is being enjoyed by the Medical Tourism industry.”

“It is expected that this industry shall register a growth of 20 to 25% annually. The influx of the international patients is increasing every year” said Dr. Zora Singh.

Management Education Leadership Award -2012 for Desh Bhagat College

Desh Bhagat Institute of Management & Computer Sciences has been awarded 'Management Education Leadership Award -2012' at IIT Delhi. Dr. Zora Singh, Chairman Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes informed this from Chandigarh head office on monday. Dr. Singh Said, “The award has been conferred by Knowledge Resources Development & Welfare Group, a non-profit, social benefit organization with entire India as its operational area.” KRDWG conducts all India surveys to identify and felicitate institutions that are providing inclusive and quality driven holistic education. It is on the basis of this survey that KRDWG has selected Desh Bhagat Institute of Management & Computer Sciences for this award.

Director General of Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes, Dr. Shalini Gupta received the award on behalf of the institute. She said that DBIMCS is the only recipient of this award for PGDM programme in the whole of the state and it is a great honour for this institute.
